SUCCESS!!! Health inspector just left and as long as water sample comes back negative tomorrow then we have the go-ahead to open!!! I can’t even believe that last year at this time our pool board was just being formed, that our pool didn’t open and sat empty all summer. A huge part of our success is Western Recreation and their team of people! They fixed up our mechanical room, answered all our questions, and supplied us with everything we need to operate our pool. We cannot say enough good things about these people – just today, the health inspector needed our maximum bather load so I texted them – 10 minutes later they texted back the answers we needed!

Friends of the Southey Spray Park

Well were rolling along….it was kind of a thrown in decision to go with a spray park now as it would be better and cheaper than doing it later so Malcolm took the bull by the horns and got things done….Konczs Services donated all the rebar and plumbing supplies to which we are so grateful (along with all the hours and hours of time he commits to this project) !! He also managed to get a donation of concrete from Watrous Concrete which really helped out our project and Western Recreation donated all the labour free of charge to make this spray park happen. Along with Glen’s huge donation of time and men and equipment to dig the pool, Glen Dodd of Ed’s Contracting provided the crushed rock and gravel to help make the spray park a reality!! We send out a HUGE thank you to those above for all their commitments!!
